Jefferson Jiménez
Jefferson Jiménez holds a degree in Film and Television from the National University of Colombia and a Master’s in Artistic and Documentary Photography from TAI School of the Arts in Madrid, Spain. In 2022, he was awarded a grant from the Young Talented Artists program. He has participated in various residencies, festivals, and film forums, including the Cartagena International Film Festival (FICCI), Berlinale Talents Buenos Aires, the Bogotá International Documentary Showcase (MIDBO), and Walden Residencies, among others.
He is the director of the short films Temporal and Padremonte o el cuello de la montaña, both recipients of production grants from Colombia’s Film Development Fund (FDC). His documentary Luminaria was nominated for the India Catalina Awards and received a Special Mention at the 2022 TAL Awards (Latin American Public Television Awards).
