Synopsis
Marrows, Healing from the Root is a 10-episode experimental animated documentary that brings together the voices of diverse women. Through intimate testimonies, the series addresses experiences of gender-based discrimination, violence, and inequality. Animation expands their stories into a poetic visual language, using texture, colour, and metaphor to transform trauma into memory. Rooted in the image of Bogotá’s walnut tree, each episode journeys to the marrow—the essence and the origin—where pain is redefined and healing begins from the root.
