Todos se Fueron
a film by Jefferson Jiménez & Laura Castillo
82’ | documentary | in development | 2027 | Colombia
Synopsis
In the Tenza Valley, Héctor Herrera, popularly known as “Cachano”, lives alone in the house where he was born, surrounded by animals, mountains, and the sound of the breeze. The last exponent of Ganachicha music, a peasant genre on the verge of extinction, he clings to his notebooks of verses and songs while the territory around him empties: neighbours migrate, the quarry devours the mountain, and his memory begins to fade. In the face of oblivion, Cachano sets out to record a new album as a testament to his legacy.
The documentary reveals both the fragility of a cultural tradition and the intimate resistance of a man who keeps singing.
